Crafty in the Med

I am here to enjoy meeting other bloggers and to share my love of craft ,mostly crochet, my thoughts and my daily happenings here in Alicante,Spain, my adopted country. I belong to a local choir because singing and music makes me happy. Flea markets and book shops are two of my favourite places to be. I read lots......sci´fi/fantasy,buried treasure, and off world adventures. I have a passion for history! I walk and walk and walk for about 10 months per year during the hot months I swim.

Saying goodbye

I am at a loss for words,so rare in me as I can usually fill a page even when I lack inspiration but Teresa Kasner's sudden passing has saddened me greatly and hence practically left me speechless.

One of Teresa's latest acquisition for her jadeite collection. She had such an eye for beauty!

I wanted to write about Teresa about this loss and what she means to me and many others in our blog world.  Bloggers from a multitude of countries all over the world were drawn to Teresa's wonderful blog; to her narratives, to those beautiful images of her Oregon homestead all of which echoed her great love for her family, her home and her enthusiasm for many hobbies and crafts.

She inspired us!

I for one eagerly awaited her constant and frequent blog posts weekly.

There is a turmoil of sad thoughts in my mind and I feel I am not doing this very well!  This brief description does not do Teresa justice! I therefore turn to Teresa's staunch friends Meredith at Mereknits and Gracie from One Saylor's log through whom I discovered Teresa Krasner's blog way back in 2014 and whose own tributes, among others out there, are really beautifully done.

I shall greatly miss her!

"My tribute to you Teresa will be to cherish the memories of you and our contact here over all the years that I was fortunate enough to have had your friendship. "

"Go in peace dear friend you have left your mark and you will not be forgotten."💖

  8. It was such a shock. I opened Simple Life of a Queen and read the news from Betsy. Dale had asked her to notify people as he couldn't access Teresa's blog. I couldn't believe it. She was always so upbeat. The blog world will be dimmer without her.

  14. What a heartfelt post. I too felt the same when I saw it on her blog. I couldn’t take it in at first and then I had a cry. I’ve been following her for years and always enjoyed sitting down to see some of her beautiful photographs and try some of the things she was doing etc. The family must be gutted too, so sad 😞
