Crafty in the Med

I am here to enjoy meeting other bloggers and to share my love of craft ,mostly crochet, my thoughts and my daily happenings here in Alicante,Spain, my adopted country. I belong to a local choir because singing and music makes me happy. Flea markets and book shops are two of my favourite places to be. I read lots......sci´fi/fantasy,buried treasure, and off world adventures. I have a passion for history! I walk and walk and walk for about 10 months per year during the hot months I swim.

Get in line...

It is so hard to keep my rabble of thoughts in line ...they just bop off on their own... up and down, choosing different routes, moving away rapidly from my first train of thought.....to sum it up they are inclined to run amok. I don't always choose some of these thoughts... they sneak in unexpectedly but ........lets focus I tell myself......this is my mind and my thoughts...... so GET IN LINE!!!   I am going to start by tossing a few thoughts in the bin...the nasty ones are the first to go into the bin,the ones about COVID from global media can go in too,the crazy, nutty thoughts as well...I hesitate for a moment because I am thinking that it is good I can recover some thoughts from my bin as sometimes nutty thoughts are not so nutty!!

There you go I am digressing again!

Tomatoes are what I want to discuss at the moment as there seem to be a lot of talk about this fruit(google says it is a fruit). I can't say I know much about tomatoes except they cover a large part of my diet because I like them very much. I don't think there is anyway I do not like them that is why I freeze tomatoes so I always have some to make into a sauce, drink or gazpacho. I envy those bloggers like Mum's Simply Living Blog  Joy at Diary of a retired teacher and  Linda at A rich tapestry who have wonderful gardens and who have home grown fruit and veg...there is nothing compared to home grown!!

I won't belittle either those bloggers who have more decorative gardens like Ellie's in Feltbulous.

Come now surely we all know sitting in a beautiful garden relaxing with a cuppa tea and a chat( you can leave out the chat if you like, you reap the same effects or perhaps more) is good for the soul....good for keeping ones reason and for certain they are the saviors of all who have had a garden to enjoy during lock down.

One such garden also comes to mind from the glimpses given in Teresa's posts of her spectacular garden over there across the pond in Oregon. My..my, those heavenly flowers...nature's work of art!!! I could sit and sip tea all day long in that garden!!
Oh!.. and she has tomatoes too!!πŸ˜€

In answer to a few queries and comments I have received:

Spanish omelette  : Boiling potatoes softens the potato slices and makes it quicker to make the omelette but it does affect the taste. In the original recipe you can soften the potato as you are frying it by breaking up the potato with a wooden spoon bit by bit as it cooks.

New blogger interface: Kathleen at Making a Mark article gives details of several of the problems with the new interface. She will be updating that article mid August.

I am at present holding my breath the links will work in this new post I shall be publishing in a short while. I had no problem at all with the images I have uploaded here this time. I am aware now other bloggers have also noticed that it can take at least an hour for a new post to be updated in the reading list and the blog roll.

It is essential we complain and leave feedback. I have left feedback twice now. I haven't had a reply but it is registered there on Blogger.
