GIVEAWAY CLOSED!
Lets start the new year right....with a little giveaway to celebrate my 100th post and over....
102 with this one :-)
and etc ....+ etc |
I'm a little bit early with this as I wanted to get it posted before I go back to work as I'm pretty sure I am going to be innudated with assignments to correct and once I am doing that I'll be totally distracted.
I already have this book but Amazon got things a bit mixed up when I ordered it and sent me two so I kept the spare one back precisely for this occasion, although the 100th post has taken a bit longer arriving than I had thought. I am sure some of you crocheters out there will agree that it is a handy book to have .....there are a great many lovely motifs to choose from, the instructions are very clear and are also accompanied by an easy to follow diagram. If you would like to see them made up pop over to Linda's Crafty Corner blog as she has been going through the book from A to Z.....her real life samples will give you a good idea what each finished item is like.
The above book is part of my 100th post giveaway but I shall be adding a few more bits to it as well such as a.......and another a........ which you'll be able to see on another post...or posts.
The giveaway is open to everyone on this world and off,
- however you should be a follower of my blog , that is having signed on via Google friend connect and also
- name one of your New Year resolutions and why.
The giveaway finishes on the 6th January ....the King's Day (The twelfth day of Christmas). The Spanish hand out their second round of gifts or rather the three kings leave the gifts under the tree on the Eve of the King's Day.
The winner will be chosen using the sophisticated Method of all names go into the BOWL!
this time Sr P will not be asked to choose the winner but my grand-daughter who will be here with us on that night.
There you have it FUNTIME isn't over yet!
Amanda :-)
Amanda, what a sweet giveaway. I want to be entered, please. When I do my post later today, I will add your giveaway to my post. I'll come back and let you know. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Happy New Year a little bit early. :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sharon
What a great book for a give away! I already have the same and must tell that the motifs are great! You can also pop over to Barbara's site : http://made-in-k-town.blogspot.hk/2012/12/the-grand-finale.html to have a look at all the 144 motifs she has hooked and also at Sewing Daises : http://www.sewingdaisies.com.au/sewing_daisies/beyond-the-square.html. Her photos and color combinations are awesome, inspiration to every crocheter i feel!
ReplyDeleteNew year resolution is to complete 2 blankets and lose 5 kilos :) Hope you have a wonderful new year ahead!
Oh Amanda, what a pity.....I have this book!!!! sigh!!!
ReplyDeletexxxx Ale
Amanda, I posted earlier today and mentioned your giveaway. I hope you have a lot of entries. (Personally, I hope you don't as I would really, really like that book, but I'm trying to be nice.) :)
ReplyDeleteSharon
Looks like I jumped the gun a bit. I didn't see the resolution part. I don't do resolutions but I've decided to do intentions. I hope to (intend to) do at least one random act of kindess a month. I think this poor old world could use some more kindess in it and I want to do my part. :)
DeleteThats ok Sharon I have entered you twice and thanks for the mention on your blog.
DeleteA xx
Oops! I missed this :( I just ordered the same book two days back after seeing so much hype on the blogs eventhough I have many motif books.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 100 th post :)
My new year resolution is to spend more time with my daughter. Recently I have been doing too much of crafty things on the pretext of 'me time' and reduced playing board games with her. I of course don't neglect my motherly duties but have cut that extra playtime which I want yo glue it back into our life:))
Hi Amanda, Congratulations on your 100+ posts. What a wonderful giveaway, I have been drooling over this book for a long time. I am keeping my fingers crossed and hope to win it. I have already posted a link on my blog.
ReplyDeleteMy new resolution will be to lose some weight (atleast 7-8 kilos, I hope). :)
How I wish that crochet helped with weight loss!!
Have a nice day.
Love.
I'd be crocheting all day Sangeetha if crochet helped with weight loss!!!

ReplyDeleteMy New year Resolutions, hmmmmm, I have a few this year. I also intend to be using fibre/fleece and yarn stash that I already have. Also I have Work in progress that really needs completing! Don't we all?
Thank you for mentioning my blog Amanda I will post about your give-away on my blog, Good luck to everyone who enters it's a great prize! :)
ReplyDeleteHello Amanda! I would like a shot at your giveaway so please toss me into the bowl : )
ReplyDeleteMy resolution is to learn how to knit, but I have been saying this for the last two years. Someday.....
I'm not a crocheting person...last year's efforts were a bit of a failure...but I can knit so maybe the wool would be better for me. But if the book is really REALLY simple then maybe that would be good. You choose, Amanda. I'm not making any NYR but I do want to continue to lose weight. Bonnes Fetes de fin d'année!
ReplyDeleteJust jumping in again Amanada would love to enter for that lovely yarn Amanda beautiful colours you are so generous for giving it away :)

Fantastic! Congrats on your 100th post. I don't do New Year's resolutions, they are too transient for me. But I have resolved this year to complete one complicated large crochet project for myself. I have picked an afghan stitch blanket with a butterfly worked into it. Good luck in 2013!
ReplyDeleteMel's Daisy Patch sent me on over and I am glad I came! I am lucky number 151 on your list of followers via google friend connect.
ReplyDeleteI would love the yarn.
My new year's resolution is to lose 15 pounds because my doctor says I need to in order to get pregnant. My DH and I really want to have kids in 2013 so I will do whatever is necessary to make that happen!
What a lovely giveaway Amanda and I dont have this book so count me in :o) Yahoo!! ReplyDeleteHi, I just came across your site and what a lovely site it is! The book looks like awesome fun! My New Year's resolution is try to be a more positive person this year, in the field that I work in it is so easy to get so down and bitter and I don't like the person that makes me. My resolution last year was to learn to crochet and I've made a start. This year I want to enter Stocki's great blanket challenge. I so envied those who were able to do it last year. I would also like to be able to expand the things I can actually make. Hope your New Year will be full of health and happiness. Joan

On this occasion, I wish you a very happy new year, full of joy and good health for you and all your family !
Hi Amanda,
ReplyDeleteI would love to enter your giveaway, please? One of my resolutions is to sort out the many boxes of things we have in the loft since we moved to this house. Get rid of things we don't need or use is liberating and I am really looking forward to do it as soon as my little one's bday weekend is over. :D
Wishing you a very Happy New Year!

What a plonker I am I didn't look on the right hand side Amanda as I was using my daughter's netbook which has a small screen and so I didn't scroll to the right! All done now :o) x

Hi Amanda, happy 100th + posts. Oh what a lovely giveaway, I would very much like to join in please and my preference would be the book as I don't have that many crochet books. Wow, resolutions, you know my best resolution is to stick to not making resolutions but I tend to think of something new to do rather than a resolution and this year it is to play the ukulele. I'm off to a slow start but I'll stick with it!
ReplyDeleteAll the best, x
Hi Amanda, I've just become your newest follower and would love to be entered into your fab giveaway, the yarn looks gorgeous, but I would love the book more, so please pop my name in the bowl for the book!
