.........forgot to put a hello note in to say what was what and from yours truly!
This means of course that the recipient ,my first swap partner that I choose to send to for the Grand Tea Swap hosted by Lucy at Lucy in the Sky, is about to receive a parcel from Spain or may have done so already because I sent it to the UK last Monday, with some goodies from an inconsiderate ME who forgot to put in a note being in too much of a hurry to get the parcel to the post office.
I would have explained this in THE forgotten note of course.
There is a very simple reason because they are grown here in the province of Alicante ;in a small town called Novelda.
So watch out peeps for some rather out of the ordinary bits in my parcels other than the normal makes or craft supplies.
****************************
My Puff or footstool cover is growing , albeit at a rather slow pace but to keep me crochet happy I need to do some distraction makes and here you have another .......distraction Nº 3!
I found the pattern on this blog here.
I would like to give the blogger a mention but I can't find the name of the blogger however the pattern is in pdf format and is very clear and easy to follow.
I used a 2.50 Aero hook and SMC Coats Catania Cotton in green, brown and yellow.
The mini pot is from Agost the pottery village.
I bought two little pots;dropped one and it smashed to smithereens.
I won't repeat what I said at the time!
Tomorrow is MONDAY and I like MONDAYS....I really do!!!
I'm ready to take on the world again after replenishing my batteries over the weekend :-)
Keep well
Amanda :-)
I always need distractions too Amanda or I get bored that's why I always have too many things on the go at once. I do love the cactus and it's flowering! I love it, I have pinned it onto my would like to do board. I love Mondays too :( read my Monday smile before you go to work it will set you up for the day xx
ReplyDeleteLove the little cactus. I always look for distractions. I am still puttering along with the Jordan blanket and it doesn't seem to be growing at all! So I made some triangle grannies for Lucy at Attic 24 for the Yarndale bunting. Now I have to steam block them and wait for an address to get them to her. In the meantime, I've gone back to my first love, counted cross stitch. So I'm all over the place! I really don't like Mondays but for some reason Tuesdays make me smile. I'm weird like that! :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sharon
Live the cactus-it made me smile. :-) Since I quit working I don't mind Mondays nearly as much!!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
I love the cactus! Definitely no fear of getting pricked with that one.
ReplyDeleteOops! But how fun for the recipient to get a surprise package too! Love the cactus as well :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a happy Monday
Xx
That's the sort of thing I would do! If I blur my eyes a little, and that doesn't take a lot of effort these days, then your cacti looks real! :) x

ReplyDeleteI absolutely love my parcel Amanda thank you so much. It was a lovely surprise to receive. (((Hugs))). I will blog about my 'Spanish' goodies this week. Bay is one of my favourite 'herbs'. I have not had any for years. I will enjoy it in my cheese sauces and casseroles. Happy Monday indeed here. :) xxx
ReplyDeleteLoved this post, made me laugh! The cactus is super cute.
ReplyDeleteThis made me smile so much. Surprises are lovely anyway. Cute cactus too.

ReplyDeleteLove your cactus! Really sweet,
xox
Hello, Amanda! I always love a new Follower and have returned the favor by becoming your newest also! Very cool that you are so far away, yet so very close in blog world. I'm happy to have found your blog. Now I'm going to go have a look around!
ReplyDeleteWell, I enjoyed the telling of your latest swap, Amanda :-) Would you believe that I forgot to include something in a swap so I ended up sending two packets and at the same time my partner did the same thing for me so I received two packets, too. That made me chuckle.
ReplyDeleteDo you have cacti around you. I am still visiting my sister in CA and am enjoying seeing a variety of cacti...but yours is the cutest :-)
xx, Gracie
We love cacti too - and the boys have several prickly varieties around the house, think I have to make myself a cuddly one :) for me, just for me xx
ReplyDeleteHow cute your cactus is......it looks so realistic! It is so easy to leave the note out when packing a parcel.....I've often done it too, and discovered the note left on the table after a lot of thorough taping has been done on the parcel!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a happy day, Amanda.
Helen x
Love the cactus!! I may try to make one to sit next to the little duck you sent me :)
ReplyDeleteThat’s a creative parcel! I am also planning to start a business from home where I can take help of same day delivery Dallas service and get all my creative arts delivered in a day. I know my business is going to take some time to settle down but I have already found a good service for getting my things delivered.
