Just 30 minutes away Christmas like scenery!
I have been digging out my woolies because although we haven't got snow down here in the city there is a bitter chill in the air. Meanwhile as I am nice and cosy and warm here at home I have finished off the hairbows which complete the batch of craft items I am sending to Kerrie at Spanish Strays in Cadiz.
As I have had a few complaints from Sr P about all the time that I spend on the computer ,hence the title of this post,I am using my ipad and blogsy to write up this post. It is a bit sneaky but Sr P doesn't understand.
I don't really know how to add links to this post yet here in blogsy so I can't refer to my past post about helping the stray and abandoned kitties in Spain.
Hopefully these goodies will sell and help Kerrie raise funds for the cats to get their medical attention and consequently their passports to be able to send them to forever homes in Europe. Please help this organisation by liking their facebook page and sharing. I feel sure the more people who hear about it more help will be forthcoming. You can find them on facebook under Spanish strays.
Mostly baby beanies in cottonand the two at the back in Red Heart super soft baby yarn.
I can hear Sr P stirring from his siesta so I am posting this now and Pronto!! :-)
AMANDA
Good Evening Amanda, Did Sr P catch you posting??? You are doing a lovely thing, by making all these goodies for the Cat Sanctuary. We used to do a similar thing in Cyprus because there were so many stray cats. The items you donated are lovely and I feel sure they will be sold very quickly to raise funds for the cats and kittens.
ReplyDeleteThe photograph of the snow filled village took me by surprise, I did not expect to see that. We are heading for a really cold snap, coming from the North this week, but it seems as if the cold weather has reached you first.
Enjoy your week.
Best Wishes
Daphne
You are just so talented, my friend :)
ReplyDeleteHi Amanda. Beautiful makes for the little cats. I've made some more of the knitted purses. I just need to sew them up and then I pop them in the post to Kerrie. Xx
ReplyDeleteAll so very cute Amanda, I'm sure they will sell who could resist them. We have been so lucky with the weather so far but I know it's going to change next week, I was surprised to see you had snow there already. :)

love the snowy scene - and fab crochet!!!
ReplyDeleteHello my talented friend!
ReplyDeleteI am awestruck by your 'craftiness', both regarding your beautifully crocheted hairpins, hats, and non-edible, but equally beautiful. cupcakes and cones AND your tricks in managing to steal back some of your bloggy time, without Sr. P. finding out!;-D Kudos to you for both, everything is adorable!
Have a lovely Thursday and stay warm!
Poppy

Gosh....SNOW? Already?? I can't let my son know, he is dying for snowy days....And your crochet goodies are beautiful! I'm sure they will sell well.... I still have the cute duck and crochet bag you sent me in a swap...he is sitting on top of my computer screen!! : )
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with Meredith that Mr P needs a hobby of his own-lol I had that trouble with my Larry when we first retired here, I finally just had to put my foot down that I use the computer to keep in contact with friends and I that I learn how to do things too.
ReplyDeleteI love all your very cute handmades-hope they make lots of money for the cause.
Oh and keep a look out soon on my blog for an awesome christmas basket giveaway Kathyinozarks

ReplyDeleteAnyway, just to let you know that FINALLY I posted your swap parcel to you, I cant apologise enough for the terrible delay, so for being such a rubbish partner :(
Helenxx
Many thanks Helen ..... I am greatly looking forward to receiving it! :-)
DeleteDo hope you enjoyed the contents of the parcel I sent you. Will you be posting about it on your blog? If not I'll include it in my post about my swap parcels from our swap and others. Keep well Amanda x
We are so over the moon with such beautiful items Amanda, your work is gorgeous and we can't wait for the Christmas stalls! It's heartwarming to have such support from you and your craft contacts; we have received 3 lovely parcels so far from yourself, Chrissie and Penny; all with stunning crafts for us to sell. I am off to the Post Office again tomorrow to check for more ;)Thank you all.
ReplyDeleteWe do really struggle down here; there are just so many abandoned cats this year...most ex pets sadly. Or litters from pets where owners haven't, nor won't neuter. So we work hard to rehome and care for them and also try to tackle the overwhelming neutering problem, but we are only a tiny handful of girls so it's tough! Crafts are a new avenue for us and so we are a little nervous but very excited! But hopefully, as well as bringing in funds we will make an impact with creating more awareness and HOPEFULLY more sponsors! Best wishes and thanks to those who are helping us this Christmas and especially to our good friend Amanda :) xxx Kerrie xx
