...... get down to more blog writing!! I wanted to reply in more detail to comments you have posted here just in one collective post and not just a quick remark of "thank you for visiting my blog bla bla and that's it". I wanted to tell you why I have been so reluctant to announce I am now retired and have been since April!! I wanted to get back to blogging happily...which I am not! The culprit of all this is New Blogger who has been making it extremely difficult to try and adapt to their new interface. This is my 3rd test post and after waiting for an hour and also having pressed this and that in settings it has finally uploaded to my blog and is on my reading list.
Blogger/Google I am not amused!!!
This was a little bit of something and nothing that I was doodling on my crochet hook. I think it's a mini-mandala.
Crochet doodling helps when I am out of sorts! :-)
Amanda :-)
I really do hope they don't make their new version compulsory. No-one I know seems to like it much at all. I've reverted back to the older version for as long as I possibly can.
ReplyDeleteLove the mandala
xx
It's a beautiful little mandala. I'm still using the "old" blogger and I'm terrified of when they make me switch. Nobody seems to like it. I hope you can tell us your story soon.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
I like the idea of mandala doodling. I do the same with granny squares when I have a spare moment. I opened up Blogger on my laptop the other day and found it had switched to the new format. I quickly scrolled down and switched back to the old one. If New Blogger becomes permanent with no option for using the old way I know I won't enjoy blogging anymore. I hope to hear from you again soon. Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteLove your mandala it's so pretty. Congratulations on your retirement! I thought I would have plenty of time do do all sorts when I retired but funnily enough the time seems to go even quicker. I hate the new blogger and keep reverting back to the old one, I have a feeling that we won't be able to do that for much longer. I think we are going to be loosing many bloggers because of it. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda. I am finding it difficult to adapt to having so much time on my hands. A x
DeleteAt the moment we have limited time with the old blogger, I am with those who do not like the new version. Ravelry has done the same and there are reams of compalints. It would be lovely to think that they will listen to their "customers" and act accordlingly but I will not hold my breath. the customer, it seems, may be right but will probably be ignored. i haven't touched m,y crochet in months, I made 3 blankets for gifts in the last 3 months of last year and needed a complete break.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I can see ...no one likes the New Blogger interface...me included!! A x
DeleteI am also finding that when I hit post on my blog it takes as long as an hour to show up in my blog list. I'm wondering if they have people approving our posts to make sure there are no nasty or lewd blogs posting icky photos. Enjoy retirement! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
ReplyDeleteMany thanks Teresa! Me too! It has been over an hour this time. A x
DeleteI am finding this new Blogger to be a pain. I hope we are all complaining so they know it is a disaster.
ReplyDeleteIt is!! I have sent feedback twice now to Blogger but no reply!! tch!! A
