Unbelievable... getting stressed out with crochet!!!!

Will it ever end!!!!!

It takes up all my spare time....."don't be daft woman what spare time????"
The spare time I sneakily steal from lesson prep, class breaks and waiting in the car moments.

I am determined I am going to finish this soon as I am getting quite cross with all these granny squares. I want to get on with the putting together bit and making other things.

Oh! horror of horrors!!!!   I am getting stressed out with my crochet.

44 done!!!    18 to go!!     I will finish it soon ....enough is enough.

As I mentioned before the squares are not for a blanket nor are they for the following:
  • poncho
  • hippy pants
  • table runner
  • cushion covers
  • sofa cover
  • bag
  • shawl
  • wall hanging
  • chair cover         so I've got you guessing.......ahhhh!    Anymore suggestions?????

Amanda :-)

  1. It can be very frustrating when you want to get something finished and time won't allow, I have known myself to get up at 6 in the morning and do an hours crochet before I start the day, at least that way I will get there in the end. I do love those squares Amanda they are very pretty, how have you done that diamond granny one it's lovely. Gosh you have me stumped so many guesses and none of them right...you have got me thinking it will probably come to me in the middle of the night. :) xx

  5. Beautiful colors Amanda! I especially like the purple diamond one. I've been known to get stressed with my crochet and knitting because I over commit myself way too much. Always by my own doing so I can't complain. :-). I have no idea what you're making but I'm very curious to find out.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  16. So funny! Sorry you're feeling stressed by it though - doesn't that kind of defeat the object? ;-) Hmmm... so what is it... are you planning some renogade yarn bombing perhaps? Either way, it looks lovely in those pretty bright colours.
Hope the rest of your week is decidedly less frantic,
    xx

    1. You are so right Gilly!!! It does defeat the object and I don't like feelig streessed with my crochet so I don't think I'll be doing anything really large for a long time!!! xx

  18. Hi Amanda, I so know that feling! I love the red one with the bobbles but they are all so pretty. Are they bunting flags? I have nominated you for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award. Details on my blog, and do feel free to accept or reject as I know time is limited for you.

    1. Many thanks Zara ... many thanks indeed for the mention. I have to reject unfortunately which makes me feel quite uncomfortable as I would like to but just getting here to just read posts is hard even! My time is so limited. I am hanging on to my presence here by a thread which I am determined will not been severed. xx

  19. I was thinking a cover for a cube shaped beanbag footstool, but as you said not a sofa cover or cushion cover I guess it isn't my idea after all. Whatever they are destined to be I will look forward to seeing it as they are great squares. xx

  21. Yesterday I saw a woman in Bureau Vallée (local office supply store) wearing an entire outfit made of granny squares - stylish skirt and flowing tunic top....so is that what you're planning? I can imagine it!! Or maybe some bunting? I can only stand in awe - my crochet experiment was a failure - I couldn't do it! I can knit (badly) though and will be starting to knit cat blankets for Spanish Stray Cats - it's getting cold! I suppose I should do it in the summer so that they are ready for winter rather than waiting till now!

  24. Hello Crafty,
I have been reading up on blogs about the famous Yarndale, and although I think that the bunting was from Yarndale 2013, I have found yours, pride of place on Lucy's table in the Knit and Knatter section on someone else's blog. Did you ever get yourself a photo? Here it is....... I was so excited for you when I saw it. Congratulations.
